i have downloaded Harmy´s full "suite" of the Star Wars edits and i am highly impressed. It brings so much nice memories of my childhood, thank you very much for this awesome and hard work and the way, how highly detailed you are working to bring this to life!
Is there a reason, why ROTJ is not available in high quality MKV? The AVCHD has a good picture - but in comparsion to ANH and ESB mkv´s it is not as good. Could someone explain me?

It's available in the same format that the other ones were when they were still only at version 1.0. Different formats and bitrate options were something that came later, RoTJ will just be the last to move on past 1.0.
As for the picture quality, aside from the lower bitrate, all three films used the HDTV broadcasts as the main source for 1.0. Blu-ray was used for later releases.

Is the RotJ 2.0 expected to be finished by the end of the year? I'm hoping that it will be ready for the Star Wars marathon I (and I'm sure plenty of others) plan to have with friends before Force Awakens.
Also, what are Harmy's plans after Jedi2 finally does come out? Go back and edit the films further, or move onto something new?
No one knows. I would probably grab 1.0 if I were you. It looks great. Only a few minor noticeable issues. Pro tip: if you don't go back and read every page of this thread, there will probably only be one or two things you notice. For Empire, I'm quite sure there will be zero. Ignorance is bliss, you can read about the errors once the next version is out or soon to come. :)

does anyone have the timestamps/chaptermarks for ROTJ 1.0?

Also, I'd consider it a great mercy if Harmy or someone else close to this project could emphatically shoot down the idea that this could be out in time for TFA, if indeed the idea needs shooting down. I know better than to ask for an ETA, but I'd be very grateful just to know if "it'll be done when it's done" means "it'll be done when it's done, which will almost definitely be after The Force Awakens comes out, so don't wait up with your marathons or viewing parties or whatever".
EDIT:^Just realized you're probably looking for the actual 27-chapter ROTJ DE timestamps, in which case I can't help you. I was looking to replace those with the standard 50 GOUT chapters to better match it to the SW 2.5 and ESB 2.0 discs.
