The blown out picture is from the 1993 Silverscreen Collection LD, I'll have some more screenshots of it over in my thread shortly.

In the mean time, I managed to improve the color matching method. There appears to be some color noise hidden in the raw scan, that was difficult for the algorithm to handle. The new algorithm is less sensitive to the color noise. Once again the reference is the Semi-Specialised Edition V2.2 frame posted earlier:

We need eleven 5TB HDDs in order to have a backup as well as a way to distribute things US-side to people working on the restoration.
I don't have the money right now.
If we don't get these HDDs, then anyone interested in working on the restoration will have to coordinate with poita to send their HDDs to him and I don't think this is something he's interested in doing. Plus, we need a backup and can't risk having just a single point of failure.
The cheapest 5TB HDDs available at the moment are ~$130. This means we need to raise $1,430 in order to make this happen.

DrDre, if you want a half resolution (3114×1344) full bit depth image to play with (16bpp tiff), then...
It has the alpha channel as well, so watch out for that...

Thanks piota! Here's the frame corrected. The middle frame is corrected using Harmy's Despecialized 2.0 as a reference. The bottom has been corrected with a tweaked Harmy's Despecialized 2.0 to reduce the blue cast, and to have a more neutral color palette (for full resolution open image in new tab):
