are you going to be a creative consultant @ Disney? :P

I'm still hoping Disney buys Legacy. The work's already done and it's ready for release - DCP, Bluray, DVD, etc.

Great work Mike!

Have you considered donating a print to the Library of Congress? Fill that void they've held for nigh on 40 years!

I can confirm it.  I am (mostly) out of the country between now and the end of Feb. on a very important gig, career-wise, but Legacy came in on schedule.  When I get back, it's to the business of laying it all out on the website (there will be a mouse-over before/after/otherversions thing where you can scroll through every shot of the film), plus more videos and a documentary in progress.  But that'll be awhile because of some...  well, there's more to the story, yet.  :)

 Holy shit congrats Mike!

I'm so incredibly excited that this has been completed and that it exists in the world.  We can all breathe a sigh of relief today no matter what happens from here on out.  My deepest congratulations and thanks to you, sir.  And if your new "job opportunity" is what we are all assuredly hoping it is, well then I am even more ecstatic.  Ladies and gentlemen of originaltrilogy.com, this will be a day long remembered; it has seen the end of the GOUT, and will soon see the end of the special editions.

Mike, have you been contracted by Disney, Lucasfilm, and/or Fox in any form for restoration?  If you haven't, definitively shoot it down. If you have, be very ambiguous in not saying yes or no...

I have said on the Legacy forum: believe me, this is just the beginning.  And, for better or worse, while there will likely continue to be some things which I just can't say, one thing I can assure you is that Star Wars is safely under the wings of some mighty protectors.

So I won't book that flight to Virginia just yet if I'm parsing that correctly.

Very exciting news, and well deserved (to say the least!) - well done Sir! :D

Even if we're all gone and Dr. Zaius will be the only one to see it, I'm very glad this exists.

I just worry that if the Rat or Fox buys it, they might buy it to bury it. :/

I cooked this up quickly; if it was released, I don't think this'd be out of place.

And besides, it goes with George's sort of poetry vibe he had going!

Hey man, don't count your chickens before they hatch! We don't know how robust Mike's backup system is. I think he'd better send a copy to me, just to make sure it's really safe.
