And not the long version that was released overseas and where Deems Taylor was dubbed over, even on the segments of his narration that have survived.

I also got hold of a Chinese dvd of the film. This one surprisingly contains one full introduction, where we actually see Deems Taylor talking on screen. The rest is the same as the R2 dvd (voice over intros). I would suppose this is his actual voice that we are hearing.

The R2 dvd and blu ray that have come out in Europe since are the same as the US ones.

Like TServ said, the R2 is probably a laserdisc release because unfortunately, from what I read, all the official releases had the narration replaced. Hope I'm wrong though.
