The UK Blu-ray is by StudioCanal and according to the following, suffers from DNR:

There's a German BD but apparently it's from the same afflicted master.

It seems like the best bet is to wait for a hopefully superior US release (I'm in the UK but my PS3 is modded and can play all regions) and in the meantime, cap the BBC's 4:3 version on its next airing.
