Nice covers, VC!

A preview of what I'm cooking up now. A slipcover version of my DeEd Blu-ray cover - or rather, a 2-disc edition of it. Like some of the Arrow covers, you can swap it around and put your favourite of one of the four in the frame of the slipcover!

The bluray cases can be found in Criterion's online store in packs of 5.

I can't seem to find it on their site, what is the thickness of the cases?

Here they are:

Is there any way to get those particular cases in the UK?

After seeing this thread all I can do is wish I owned a printer and Blu-ray burner.

I looked over all of the submissions here and compiled my favorite covers, disc arts and insert image.

All I can do now is beg. Beg another fan to burn me Harmy's ANH 2.5, ESB 2.0 & ROTJ 1.0 onto Blu-rays and print the disc stickers and other art....or just the art in the link below. I may be able to find someone w/ a burner.

you know you can just burn them onto DVD9's right?

No need for actual blu-ray discs. the AVCHD version will fit on a dvd, and it's the same quality as the MKV. the only difference is it's missing a bunch of the alternate audio tracks.

Hello...I just want to ask if is there a chance to get a normal BR box printable cover version of these 2 editions...I already have the BR's and DVD's so I´m not thinking on buying these editions. Thanks for your help

Does anyone still have the 1.4gb "Star Wars - Custom DVD cover" torrent by Blaksvn? I was 93% done downloading then poof, all the seeders disappeared! Someone requested a reseed last week but no one has done so.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hey there, folks!

First time posting here but this thread was amazingly helpful in getting my Despecialized Editions looking great. There are a ton of talented users here and I've been blown away by the box art. So much so that I couldn't decide on any one design an opted to combine some of my favorite elements of different designers' Blu-Ray inserts.

There are very few elements of my own, as 90% of the credit for the design belongs to ronwlim and video_collector. These inserts are pretty much a combination of the two. The dimensions here fit the 12mm Viva Elite single Blu-Ray case perfectly.

Additionally, I made my own box as well as printed disc labels that look pretty great (inkjet printer directly on the discs - no stickers). For the disc images I used Ron's disc images with the exception of Star Wars - where I swapped the Struzan art for the Hildebrandt poster art. I also added some disclaimers.

Thanks, everybody!

Does anyone have good quality, high resolution posters for the prequels (Drew Struzan versions)? Google search does come up with some big images, but the quality isn't really great because the small text isn't readable.

Does anyone here have them and would be willing to share? I will also accept no-text versions.

Here's an archive that has 3 different versions for ROTS (including the original art before they redid it to make Vader's head larger.). It also has TPM, although the contrast will need to be adjusted. I don't have a good version of AOTC.

Video Collector did nice scans from an art book for his custom bluray covers, so you might want to pm him and see if he still has those.

Hello, long time lurker who finally decided to register. Figured I'd share others artwork that I used to make my bluray covers set. The inside is ronwlim's criterion set and the outside are from a user named shealambert on Deviant Art. Thanks to both gentlemen for their work.

Those are really impressive! Two questions: What size blu-ray case do you use, and do you have a link for the art? Never mind, I figured it out

Thanks for sharing!

They are 12mm spine BD cases I got from Shop4tech.com

Ronwlim's art is in Harmy's Despecialized main thread here on OT. Not really sure exactly where anymore.

Shealambert's can be found here http://shealambert.deviantart.com/

I'm now encountering a new issue.

I'm using a Canon Pixma printer, and I'm printing to photos through Windows "Photos" application on my PC, and the results are smaller than a typical Blu-Ray sleeve, both too short and too narrow. Is there another thing I could do to make these usable?

I've been using http://www.printdvdcover.com/ with success lately. It creates a pdf. Just make sure you choose "print actual size" in Adobe and it has worked 100% of the time for me.

Select your layout: bluray case

Single File

A4

(check box) Smart resize and crop images to fit preserving aspect ratio more info

Generate

Then save the pdf it creates in a new window. Open said pdf and make sure you have "actual size" checked in Adobe before printing.

Hope this helps!

Some new ones based off the '94 VHS covers. I know Moth3r did them before, but I couldn't resist... anyway, I wanted to see if I could based on the limited resources I have!

Doe anyone have recommendations on what type of glue to use?  I made a box out of chipboard and was gonna glue box cover on it.  I'm probably gonna end up printing the cover on photo paper since I try printing on some thicker than standard paper and it didn't turn out good.

I think rubber glue may be typical for paper and cardboard, at least if you want some quality. I think.
