I can PM you a photo, don't know whether I could send money though...

Sorry.

All good, I was just thinking out loud. I'm 99.9999999999999% sure I won't be accepting money as per always. I'll let you know when I have a link up.

I suggest just fixing the megashares links for the DLC package - or putting in myspleen. If you fix the DLC then I or someone else can up it to the spleen for you.

And... just because I can, lol:

Just use Mega.  50 gb for free.

 RU.08 said:

Mega is limited to 10GB of bandwidth per month though on the free account.

Thanks guys, I'll look into Mega!

I don't see that bandwidth limit anywhere on the site.

I believe it's like 10gb transfer per 30 or 60 minutes. You see the counter on your menu and it resets rapidly, if I recall. I transferred 40 gigs to another OT member recently, with a free account, and it did not take four months.

Still, rar up your upload into <10gb chunks in case it cuts off and there are problems resuming.

It's on page 19 of the document I linked to Frink, which is on the Mega site. I believe you're right towne32 that the bandwidth does usually reset sooner, but their stated policy is 10GB/mth on the free account.

Even still, the file is only 8GB so that should do it. I'll try to get to this this weekend.

Once we get to ESB/ROTJ and HD-SW I'm sure we'll have 50GB hosts.

Well, that's not how bandwidth works.  One person downloads it and you've used up 8gb of your 10gb bandwidth for the month.

Having said that, the document is a report intended to cover their ass legally.  It has nothing to do with how they actually run things, and the only reference I can find on the actual site supports the bandwidth being reset like towne said.

Basically, ignore the guy talking about the bandwidth limit until you actually see it happen.  I use Mega and have never run into this.

It depends on the service really.

If the service has to store the file locally, it's there and you're paying to keep the file there. So 8GB of 10GB is THERE and people can chose to download from the server. If the services uses each access as "bandwidth usage" they're screwing you.

Some services require you to provide your own harddrives - in this case, they charge the service link as banwidth. A good example of the first option is WeTransfer. They host the file for a short period of time and the file can be downloaded an unlimited amount of times. It's already on the server, so if someone wants to download it a hundred times they could (so long as the server isn't overloaded). An example of the latter is StationEx which does international transfer from Harddrive to Harddrive and the files aren't stored anywhere.

I'll do some research on Mega and report back. Just in Pre-Produciton on a film right now and started a 9-month contract in the editing department so I'm still adapting to a different schedule. Should have time to go through this stuff on Monday.

That's storage, and it's clearly indicated on the site that free accounts get 50gb of storage.

Ignore storage, I'm talking about uploading 10gb at once. Once it is stored, people downloading it only uses the download bandwidth of those accessing the files. If Mega considers that the same as upload bandwidth they're barking. I worked in digital distribution on big shows, my friend. This is something I know quite well. ;)

Well regardless, I've used Mega plenty and never run into a problem, so I'd just give a shot if I were you.

I hope you don't upload it to Megashares again. They have this weird rule where you can only download 500 mb per 2 hours or something. I remember being so dissapointed because it took ages to download every rar file, and then have heaps of them be corrupted.

Not enough people read the EU.

50GB storage, uploads don't count against the bandwidth only downloads from the cloud storage count towards their "10GB per month". As other have said they seem to allow more than the stated 10GB bandwidth per month, but I'll bet you once you get towards your 50GB storage limit that they'll start to throttle the bandwidth more to push you onto a paid plan.

Also, if you share the links publicly they will take down material when a DMCA complaint is sent to them, so you should only share the links through PMs.

Might as well just give it a shot. I'll try uploading it tonight or tomorrow.

Mega wasn't uploading for some reason. In the video stream folder of the DVD, the files are broken up by 1GB. I'll upload the DVD in parts tonight and log the link to all of the parts. It'll only be up for 15 days so if you don't get it within that time period, it's probably best that you contact someone else who has it if you can't wait.

You may need to use smaller files.  Try using WinRAR (it's free no matter what it looks like) to combing the files into 100 or 200 MB files and upload those to Mega.

Good call Frink! Seems to be working now. Looks like it'll be about 40 parts. Uploading parts 1-20 now.
