I think what they mean on tvtropes website is that the line was originally in the script and they removed it at the last moment, it might have not being shot at all. I wonder if somebody read it in the novelization and thought it was also in the film.
As for the Indy experience website, they usually just paste information that they find elsewhere (probably it came from the old IMDb), it's not necessarily first hand knowledge.
But if it was indeed in the film, jeez, I wish they had kept it, it makes much more sense.
