Hello.

I recently discovered this project and I must say that it's awesome. Congrats for the excellent work.

I too noticed the glitch in the spanish dub, and would like to have a corrected version of the audio. Is that possible?

Thank you in advance.

I'm listening to this only if he's Team_Olie :\

Is it me or the interviewer talks in slow-motion? :D Anyway, good work, Harmy!

He does in the intros/outros, but not as much in the actual interviews.  And you get used to it.  You should check out his interview with Q2 and I while you're at it.

I guess Yoda is the combo-breaker.

Another bullshit release. :o/

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

"Disney and Lucasfilm do the whole world a disservice by withholding the original version of what will forever be one of the most consequential movies in film history."

Don't hate me, everyone, but I don't think Disney should take any bullets -- or at least not all the bullets -- for Lucasfilm (and more specifically Lucas) for not treating the original trilogy theatricals with the same love and care that we (the fans) do.  While Disney does own Lucasfilm, they don't actually run it. They fund the company and distribute new Lucasfilm creations (i.e. "Star Wars Rebels").

I certainly don't hate you for your opinion. Though I also don't think you need to cross-post it.

I've been willing to give Disney a shot. I like some of what they've done and I certainly think the franchise is in better hands than it was with GL. I don't care if they crank up the merchandising and theme parks and cartoons. It's expected that they make money off their investment and secure new generations of fans. Hopefully the 6 films and several TV shows in 6 years turn out decently. It's not impossible that they could really get the public sick of this franchise.

We don't currently know what the deal is with the OOT. If their hands are actually tied or somewhat restricted due to Fox, perhaps they're really on our side. If they actually have no interest (unlikely, IMO), or are respecting Lucas's wishes (unlikely unless contractually obliged), we'll probably find out in time and it would be sucky indeed.

What they haven't done yet is spout BS about what the only real version of the film is, or (lie about) what is technically impossible, tell us that nobody wants the OOT, etc. I think they would like to and it's hopefully a matter of when rather than if.

Well you know what they say about opinions: They're exactly like assholes. That's why, after I've been drinking, I sometimes put my thumb in my dog's opinion when he's asleep and he rarely wakes up but when he does he is NOT happy.

I don't know if this counts, but during the Character Finale at Disney's Hollywood Studios, they had Han shoot Greedo (without Greedo firing at all) and James Arnold Taylor quotes, "Han really did shoot first."  I like to think of that as Disney agreeing with the fans, and maybe if they manage to workout a deal with FOX, they'll gladly release the theatrical versions of the original trilogy in High Definition Blu-Ray.

The question is, will they spend the money for a truly first-class restoration: using all the best sources available, bring in the top restoration experts, blank check, take all the time they need to do it perfectly, etc.?

That's what *should* be done, and even with the expense, it makes sense to protect and restore these films to the nth degree. It would be utterly foolish not to do so. They just spent a fortune to buy Lucasfilm, and to not protect the most valuable thing Lucasfilm has as well as it can possibly be done, would be a huge loss even from just a business perspective. But that doesn't mean they *will* do it...

The Star Wars trilogy. There can be only one.

As far as I know, Disney don't usually do actual "restorations", but more like "special editions" (look at what they did to their animated movies...)

I hope I'm wrong, but they may just take the negatives, recomposite everything (even add some new sfx) and sell these new special editions together with the "theatricals" ones (which would just be their versions cut as the originals).

So they get two great quality "updated" versions in one, and the average customer won't even notice the difference between their theatricals and the actual ones. It would be a great bargain to Disney.

Hey, I'm having a problem that was hoping someone could help me with:

A couple weeks ago, I started downloading the MKV version of the despecialized edition from the teh paradox forum post, and it was going fine - I got 35/37 parts downloaded - but then it suddenly just stopped. I tried restarting the download a couple times, to no avail, I couldn't get it to download parts 36 or 37.

A couple days later, I tried again and at that point realized that all uloz.to links had stopped working and yeilded a 404 page. I'm not sure if I happened to have been downloading the despecialized edition at the time the website went down or if the website's still up and my router just isn't connecting to it for some reason, but I was hoping someone here might have an idea.

All Uloz links are online, I just downloaded parts 36 and 37.

Send me a PM, I'll upload them somewhere else for you.

Damn Stinky, you seriously had me in belly-laughs and tears.  By chance are you related to Mr. Plinkett?  Seems like a learned behavior.

Btw, nice to see another BR.com poster over here.  It's been a while since I've visited.  Forgot what I was missing.

And every time there's a new release...there's a new article about Harmy...

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/star-wars-original-trilogy-blu-ray-coming-its-your-duty-pirate-them-instead-464423

These kinds of articles really piss me off.  Crap like this that encourages piracy outright is really damaging to the public image of people like Harmy who make no money from their incredible efforts and stress their policy of all downloaders buying the officially licensed material before downloading fan-edits and preservations.
