"Disney and Lucasfilm do the whole world a disservice by withholding the original version of what will forever be one of the most consequential movies in film history."

Don't hate me, everyone, but I don't think Disney should take any bullets -- or at least not all the bullets -- for Lucasfilm (and more specifically Lucas) for not treating the original trilogy theatricals with the same love and care that we (the fans) do. While Disney does own Lucasfilm, they don't actually run it. They fund the company and distribute new Lucasfilm creations (i.e. "Star Wars Rebels").
