Especially when the hit is in the 19th inning.
Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.
Oh, we were still talking about baseball?
Oh, you were talking about crack pipes, my bad.
Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.
They don't have to be used for crack you oaf!
In other news, I wish my cat would quit slobbering.
You should get your cat a "one-spitter" whatever that would be.
Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.
I feel sorry for everyone born after the '80s.
Grrr...

Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…
Why? Because we couldn't experience first hand how terrible bands like Poison, Whitesnake, and Journey were, and thus our natural defenses to them are diminished and we must rely only on second hand advice on dealing with their treachery?

Kids born in the '90s never really got to experience the '90s, did they?* The 2000s would have been their primary environment. =P
*Especially if they were born in the mid-to-late '90s.

I could list counter-examples, but that would diminish the semi-comedic vibe you're trying to establish with your post.
If your counter-examples include anything but Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double they are invalid.
edit: I SUPPOSE things other than music *might* have happened in the 80's...

I'm one of those people that would probably feel out of touch with the times regardless of the decade I was born.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

This site tells you which movie was number one at the box office on your birthday, or any date.

This one instead finds the top song in the pop charts at a given date.

My reaction to the movie was "eeehhhhh *sigh*".
My reaction to the song, I wish I had a way to record it. It was a "nooooooooooo" of sadness, frustration, amusement... so many emotions in one second, I didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
My birthday is 20-03-88.
Fascinating! There's also a "song you were conceived to" setting.
Where were you in '77?
I got Dragnet starring Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston.
I've never seen that movie, and while I don't mind that song, I'm pretty indifferent to Ms. Houston overall, so consider me semi-disappointed.
Amityville 3-D and "All Night Long (All Night)" by Lionel Richie.
I am the 80's.

Last night I had a dream involving...that song.
Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…
I got "Rambo - First Blood Part II" and "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple minds. Not bad.
Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.
Life is so much more beautiful with freshly clipped toenails.
Guys, stop it. You make me feel old. ;)
Don't clip your toenails then, go natural!
If it worked for Howard Hughes, why not?
