Making people with a .94 ratio wait 6 hours is the worst kind of elitism.

I remember on a private tracker that I frequent the admins were coming under firing and being called Nazis for banning people with .10 ratios.

Call me stupid, but isn't it quite useless to add this DVD to a membership tracker if it is already available on an open tracker?
People will be able to download it faster from thge open tracker anyway.

I had a 46 hour wait when I first started, but if you DONATE a little cash (not much $5 or more) the wait went to 0 and I downloaded TCW and allready watched it. Like Rikter said it is about sharing. Also after you download something let it keep seeding, this also helps your ratio. I have donated $20 so far and I have downloaded 2 different OOT, BOTF, TCW, 5 B&B Banned Episodes, Season 1 of Parker Lewis. 18 DVDs full. I would say that is well worth $20. And still much more to chose from. I have also shared these lovely items with several friends for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

No way am I donating $5 just to get have no line. That's another thing... this ridiculous queue was most likely partially intended to generate revenue.

Trackers shouldn't require PBS like fundraising to stay up.

You know, I've not donated (yet), but I've not had a problem getting something from MySpleen.

If you are going to bitch about having to wait to get something FREE, then you need to go home and rethink your life.

I have the Blade runner torrent off there and donated $5. Well worth it just for that movie IMO.

ANYONE that complains about waiting is a LEECHER! - THAT is way there are SHARE RATIOS.

I've also donated a some cash and I will continue to solicit donations fo MYSPLEEN.NET as they are THE ONLY site that has allowed me to use their tracker. IT's also one of the only torrent sites (beside 'adult' torrent sites) that does this. AGAIN the share ratio PREVENTS Leechers.

NOW for those of you that DO NOT know what a leecher is....

At first it ment ANYONE that was downloading a SHARED file (now called peers) BUT now it means that YOU download a file and close the torrent right after your download is finished without giving it a chance to let others download from you!!

If you want to avoid being a leecher you NEED to keep the torrent open for as long as you can. (YES, YOU)

It is considered GOOD form to share a torrent file until you have a share ratio of AT LEAST 1:1 (but PLEASE try to have it at 1.5:1 or 2:1 that way the torrent will stay open longer! (thereby giving everyone else a chance to download it - you crazy kids!)

Now, what the heck is the share ratio?

When your share ratio is at 1:1 that means you have now uploaded the same amount of data as you downloaded and 2:1 means you uploaded twice the amount as you downloaded and on and on...

So the lesson here is....

Share or be a $%^#*& (If sharing is not your thing - you could get the DVD's and videos from eBay right?)

I, like most people, use Azureus.

And to upload, at myspleen at least, go in the forum, and offer what you want to upload.

I use BitTornado; it's considerably lighter than Azureus, and has most of its functionality.

I use BitTornado as well, most people aren't aware that you can pick and choose what parts of the file you want to download like Azeurus.

Azeurus takes up way too much Ram with it's Java core.

Can any help:

I'm trying to fix my ratio issue at myspleen... i forwarded the correct router ports for my bittorrent client to fix the NAT issues but im still getting the thumbs down issue and bad download/ no upload speed.... Is there another parameter to look at .. apparantly the tracker cant connect to me?

I know I had the thumbs down on my port when i switched to ABC for a bit, but im using BitTornado again, and it seems to pick up the ports without any forwarding at all.

Can anyone tell me which version the SWHS on myspleen is? I'm looking to hunt down the second Angrysun version. It does not have the kenner commercials nor the muppet show. It is supposedly a much higher quality than that one.

I'm looking to replace my WMAR TV version I have (which is actually pretty good).

If anyone can let me know whcih version is up there, that'd be awesome.
