Interestingly, the Russian TC is lacking the single change said to have occurred between the theatrical and DVD release (mentioned here: http://www.dvdactive.com/editorial/articles/star-wars-the-changes-part-four.html?post_id=79063&action=report ). This could be because this is a workprint. Or it could be due to misinformation/misremembering the theatrical release.

It is also possible that the wipe was added fairly late in the editing process and they accidentally reverted to the earlier version for the DVD release. But if this was first introduced for the Blu-ray, the DVD/HDTV is 100% identical to the theatrical release. Not only that, but it's the only case where this is true for the six Star Wars films, GOUT aside.

edit: the entire order of shots may actually be different. Don't have the DVD on hand.
