I'm not a treehugger, but I do wish to do my part to help the environment. My family recycles aluminum cans, cardboard, paper, glass, #1 and #2 plastics. Also, I walk to work everyday instead of driving my car. I was a late driver (didn't get my temps until after I was 20). My first car was an Aerostar minivan. I replaced in last September with a 99 Honda CR-V, which greatly helped my mileage.
However, my habits are not entirely motiviated by helping the environment. Where I work is a 5-7 minute walk from home. It would be a waste of gas, ans with gas prices as they are, its not something I want to do.
Also, my motivation for dropping the Aerostar for the CR-V was also gas mileage.
My best tank of gas in the CR-V gave me 29mpg.
