He was truly one of the greats. Regardless of our views on AOTC and ROTS, we all must admit the man made some pretty terrible dialogue bearable and even good in some cases. The astounding vibrato in his voice commanded respect and yet could also deliver the most soft spoken of lines with utter believability and brilliance. It's rare that an actor can be recognized by any generation they are put in front of and Sir Christopher Lee did. The older generation knew him from Hammer's horror films and James Bond, the younger generation knew him from Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. RIP Sir Christopher Lee.
