I'm working on an hardware decoder capture solution about Dolby Surround encoded stereo tracks; I need someone who owns a Dolby Pro Logic compatible amplifiers that would help testing few files; they are the untouched stereo DS encoded track, plus five different surround recreation files - between them, there is my solution.
So, what I need is a comparative test between the original track, decoded by your hardware Dolby Pro Logic (not II) and the others (endoded in Dolby Digital); at the end, I would like to know which (if any) is the most similar to, or even better than, the DPL decoded track.
Original track is from analog laserdisc, and includes DTS and THX logo - 44s
Tracks included: original.wav, 1.ac3, 2.ac3, 3.ac3, 4.ac3, 5.ac3 - avoided to name them after the surround plugin used, to have a blind test.
