I think you'll find you were all me long before anyone was a team.

1) Great news about the plasticine.

2) I hope you are clearing the swamp of trees fast.

3) Ady do you think the X-wing turbine needs tinkering or is fine as it is?

 1) yes it is. A very sleepless night as i waited for the silicone to sure on the test piece.

2) Actually, they don't seem to be selling :(

3) yeh, i think it's about time i replied about this matter and others.

No, you would not see the turbine in any of the R2 shots. Nothing was removed from the set piece in order to film these shots. Due to the angle of the shots and the lens used, it would be out of shot. As for seeing the guns, well no you certainly wouldn't see any of those as the wings are closed ( although the wings on the set were actually set to the open position and cut off mid way along the wings) . So there is nothing to fix regarding any of these.  But i'm very surprised that, with all this scritiny going on about these shots and where the turbines should be, that not one single person noticed the matte problem with the turbine we actually do see in one of these shots leaving Hoth. The turbine behind R2 has a static matte, yet the x-wing banks very slightly and the matte cuts the top of the turbine off. ;)

Now onto the new dagobah matte shot. It's staying as is. I'm not going to go back and alter any of it. It doesn't need to be altered. I wonder how many would have even noticed that the shot was slightly extended if i hadn't posted the video alongside the original?

As for the suggestions of adding a slow zoom to the shot, well that's a big no i'm afraid. And there is a reason why i really wouldn't even consider adding anything like that; It's a damn Special Edition trait that became over used...... a few examples......

ANH

Original Ben's hut -  Static shot
Special Edition-  slow zoom in

Original sandcrawler -  static shot
Special edition -  slow zoom in

ESB

Original Cloud City shot ( prior to the apartment scene) - static shot
Special edition -  slow zoom in

Original exterior of the apartment -  static shot
Special edition - slow zoom in

ROTJ

Original Jabbas palace door - static shot
Special editon (blu-ray)- slow zoom in

I think there are enough slow zooms in replacements shots ;)
