Since we're openly talking about the story now, here's been my thoughts for some time.
Finn is a terrible character from the story rumors. He's weak and is always in trouble. The idea that he suddenly wields a lightsaber with some skill and we're supposed to buy that is just silly.
I like Rey, she's the only decent main character. Her turning away from her destiny and then deciding at the end to face it is pretty average stuff though.
Kylo Ren is boring design wise. Another male villian. I wanted Ventress or anything different then what we've seen before.
The flashback sequence is terrible.
Han Solo in a freighter in the same orbit that happens to pick up the falcon which he hasn't seen in years. That's some amazing coincidences there.
Two castles in the same movie with a hero and villian castle. Did they run out of ideas?
And the big whopper: That Luke is almost not in the movie. At all. One scene with Mark Hamill. What are they thinking?
I'm predicting prequel era hate for this film. It's going to be a whole new generation of disappointed fans from a nice trailer.
Or it could be a great film. Who knows.
