This is an idea I approve of whole-heartedly. Don't keep it low-budget, throw everything into it. Alien, Predator, Roger Rabbit...Frank your Majesty said:
In the detention area, Luke could open the wrong cell door. So instead of finding Leia, there is someone else inside, maybe a particularly silly alien from some low-budget science fiction movie. Then Luke just closes the door, maybe he also says "oops" like his father used to when he was young. Repeat this as often as necessary.
