I care about everything on this page of the thread preceding this post.

I don't understand why anyone would be sensitive to short-bus jokes and then ride along with clown porn posts as if that was much more normal.
What if one of us had a brother/sister/child who was a clown?
What if I'm offended about pornography being thought of as funny?
But really, what about fat kid jokes? What if one of us is fat? Do we just stop telling jokes because some one might get offended? Or do we just deal with the fact that life is full of shit and sometimes telling jokes is just a way of dealing with it from time to time? I mean after our problems one thing that kept us going wasn't clamming up about it every time it came up, but just laughing about it more and more. We delt with it and it got better and people didn't feel awkward around us because they were afraid they'd offend us. But we have thick skins I guess.
Let's face it, we're all living on a tiny little planet in an increadibly vast universe and we and even our solar system is going to die one day so who really has time to worry about stuff anyway?

The answer to your questions is basically shut the fuck up. You want to make fun of my child, you go right ahead. And if you don't understand the difference between short bus jokes and clown/horse jokes, you're not worth one second of my time.

Obviously nobody is making fun of Frink's daughter but he is sensitive to jokes relating to people with intellectual disabilities, made however innocently. My position is basically that even if I think a person is being too sensitive about something, in a small circle such as this, once we know it bothers them, we can be sensitive to that. If I had an unfortunate run-in with a clown as a child and expressed that, I hope others would show the same sensitivity.

Oh grow up! You act like you never made these kind of jokes when you were younger, but I bet you did.
The point is that you act like a jack-ass to half the people here and then you suddenly expect us to get all sensitive to your one personal trauma. Like you are the only one with problems.
You might pretend that people are personally attacking you when you hear them joke about people who are slow, but you know they aren't. You know they are just trying to let off steam and have fun, but none of us can really have fun in this world can we? We always have to be serious because something bad has happened to all of us. Something awful and twisted is always around the corner, but if we can't be light-hearted from time to time what is the point of even going on? Do we all have to live in a dark closet and cry all day?
I've done enough of that to last a lifetime. Enough is enough. It is time to realize that life is short and our problems are temporary. No one will remember us or them in 50 or 100 years.

OK, you might have a point. I just read Frink a little differently. I saw him as an attention-seeker and every attention seeker I have ever known has not hesitated to talk about their problems in order to gain more attention. By drawing an imaginary line and pretending to be offended over the mention that some people have disabilities that would be out of place super-imposed on others he seemed to be making a topic emotionally charged for no reason.
We all have problems and I doubt he would be impressed if we all ruined every one of his jokes with a different set of our problems every day.
But on the chance that I am wrong and this is really emotionally distressing to the guy who has no problem talking casually about horse-clown-porn, I will not make fun of short-busses.
I am new to this site and don't want to come in here and ruin it for those who know the score better than I do.

Of course I did. I was an idiot when I was younger.

All I can add to this is if a person see's a joke that they might take personally they should "inform" that person politely first "before" turning the hose on them ..... especially if you believe the person making the comment/joke honestly may not "know" about your situation. Far too many times for my taste have I seen simple things go so awry due the offended person starting a lynch mob without even offering a courtesy "you may not know this" attempt.
Knowing is always half the battle.
Now, Frinks mom on the other hand .......
;)
This whole situation reminds me of a video here.
Anyway, getting back to suspicious negative1 posts...

We agree, that is suspicious.
We don't understand why they get away with this bullshit. We've discussed it and decided it's ridiculous. We also won't respond to anybody who points it out and will simply ignore it because that makes the accusations go away.

I have a long (and annoying, to some) track record of not ignoring it.
I don't know how they can say that Negative 1 is no longer part of the team. It's so easy to see he is still active, and posts with the team account. Proof...
Negative1's original style of posting, it's always been very distinctive:
Negative 1 - original account in 2012
Team Negative 1 - posted May 20th 2015
That is the same person.
I have a team working on the Revisited edits, yet each one posts using their individual accounts and i wouldn't dream of setting up an account solely for the team.. Team Blu also post using their own accounts. So why should team negative1 be any different than the rest of us? It's ok on places like facebook when you have your own page, but here it is one account per person.
It also gets confusing when they are commenting in other threads outside of their own. Who the hell is actually commenting because their opinions and writing styles change throughout a thread. If they are to be allowed to keep their team account then they should be limited to posting in their own threads and be forced to use their own accounts when they comment or post anywhere else.
All great questions and points. SilverWook (since Moth3r is who knows where), what do you think?
Jay had this to say on the matter...

I don't have a problem with team accounts as long as the account is used to post in the team's own topics about their own projects. Using a team account to post your personal opinions in other threads isn't necessary and should be discouraged.

Seems reasonable. Of course, they probably should be notified, since that's what they've been doing.

I'll tell them, then.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Coming from someone who only has about a year's experience with this website, and is therefore out of the loop regarding the history of the transition from negative1 to team_negative1, I also have noticed strange things relating to the team account's posts, especially within the last week or two. Lately the team account has been posting throughout numerous threads (mostly the ones relating to the OOT/SE discussion) saying things that are often baseless and extreme. Like what's been posted in this thread, I started to get really annoyed with the constant pushing of the idea that these posts come from the general consensus of an entire group of people, when it's obvious to everyone that the entire team isn't contributing to the response. In my opinion, if an account is going to represent multiple people, then it should have no right to post on any subjects other than documenting the progress of, or answering questions related to their projects. I think Jay's ruling needs to be made clear to the "team", or whoever is using the account to post on subjects unrelated to the teams projects.
There was also a strange, sarcastic post in a thread in which they responded to a person's very long and wordy post by saying, "Good points, but you may want to edit your wall of text, so that people can read it."
The Person in Question
Before the uptick in activity with them in non project threads, they were pretty much below my radar.
