I'd also like to point out that I typed the previous msg on my phone after having drunk 5 glasses of wine in abouz two hours, so you'll have to exuse the typos :-)

On the other hand, Stinky-Dinkins seemed completely sober in his last post.  It's Bizarro World, I'm sure of it.

Hey Harmy, same question I posted in the wrong thread. >.<

http://www.imagebam.com/image/34253a410086635

But I guess you already answered it. So that's a lens flare there on the right? It just looked odd because I have a pretty bright screen and around the flare you can see for those few frames that it appears a sort of dark circle that doesn't have as much fine grain as the rest of the image. Almost as if it was "masked" in from another source with different details. I could be totally wrong but that's why I wanted to ask.

Almost looks like a planet from a fade or something .....

Yeah! That's what I thought! And it's also just before a scene fade that is right outside of Dagobah which has a similar color palette and texture to the lens flare. Haha.

Harmy said:

Yeah, that's definitely a lens flare - always been there.

Gotcha, well thanks for the quick responses! Had a great time watching this and Star Wars v2.5.

Hi everybody! I am new to this forum, just subscribed to say thank you to Harmy for the marvellous work he did to the trilogy, and to post a question: will you ever consider to remove the annoying quotes: "EPISODE V-VI" from tESB and ROTJ beginning titles?

Imho that would be the ultimate step to reach perfection!

Why would he remove something that was integral to the theatrical prints of those movies?

Really? I thought those quotes have been added later, I never knew that Lucas planned Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi to be chapter V and VI from the beginning!

Think I was misled by the fact that in A New Hope there was no chapter IV in the beginning titles...

Thank you for your answer, I'm quite a young fan and didn't know all these things :D

Yep, when Empire came out labeled Episode V, that led me and my friends to hold numerous discussions on what must have happened in the three missing episodes between Star Wars and Empire, since Star Wars was clearly Episode I, just not labeled as such.

Harmy,

Thanks for your preservation efforts and for all who contributed.  I have the limited edition wide screen laser disc to dvd transfer editions, and had purchased many vhs versions.  I have shared those with my 2 boys.  Your despecialized edition of ESB triggered memories of yesteryear when I was 8 years old in the theater.

Of course at that time I was all skinned up when I fell off my bike going down a steep hill at a ridiculous speed.  I had lost an eyebrow, skinned up my knees, elbows, and other areas.  I was all bloodied up with road rash.  I had also had a weird nightmare the night before about an Eskimo in a recliner in an igloo with snow up to his nose and a unseen supernatural presence that I couldn't get away from.

My aunt had heard about my accident and invited me to go with her family to an afternoon showing of ESB at the cinema.  When the lights dimmed I experienced one of the greatest movies of all time.  For 2 hours gone were the thoughts of my aching body, sores and bruises. I was so immersed into the story, Yoda,  the revelation of Luke’s father, Han being frozen in carbonite.  I didn’t want the story to end and I couldn’t wait until the next chapter.

It was one of the worst and best days of my life that I will always remember.  Last night it was good to experience some of that movie magic again with your restored version.

You Rock Harmy!  Thanks for doing this.

I wrote several jokes about the eyebrow thing and discarded them all...which was the right choice, your joke was much better.

We're confused. So watching the Empire Strikes Back in the theater, was one of the worst days of your life. And being in the hospital was the best.

Ok,  we can see that, some people felt that way, with this 2nd movie ending on a down note, and not being very conclusive.

Just kidding. You should check out our Grindhouse version too. Harmy did an excellent job on his version.

All these options to choose from.  I feel like a kid in a candy store.  No hospital visit thankfully, but that poor Huffy bicycle was never the same.

Sheesh.  Can you at least pretend to be just one person posting?

JEDIT: Unless you can show us the email log where you passed the story amongst all members of the team and you all agreed to be confused.

Clearly he's more than one person, look at how there's actually two different fonts used in the post. [Venkman] No single human being would format text like that. [/Venkman]

Either that, or it's text copied and pasted from a text editor.  Except an advanced text editor that doesn't require hard returns at the end of every line.  But who posts like that?

We may never know if they're really confused--but the question is: are they amused?

I'm sure the team responsible for this:

http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Krieg-der-Sterne-Despecialized-Edition-25-German/topic/15914/

...will release a German version for Empire.  I believe they're waiting for the 2.5 release before making the customizations, but I'm not certain.

Oh fuck off! That post also confused Team Dinkins. If it confused us I can easily see it confusing one of the many other teams on this forum. I'm not gonna lie your post made us pretty angry.
