That 1989 'Special Widescreen Edition' Laserdisc set had that ridiculous Shrinking Aspect Ratio problem, which I believe was quietly corrected in 1993 and released with the same artwork and stuff. Isn't that fixed 1993 set considered the best American/NTSC set? Even better than the DC?

I also see the 1986 Japan widescreen set mentioned a ton as the definitive release of the OOT. But, from a restoration/upscale point, we then have to contend with Japanese subtitles.

I'd love to read that entire thread, but there is a ton there. One day. :P
