I *think* that, at the time, when studio talk about DTS on laserdisc, to have "the same sound you can hear in theaters", they mean it - *maybe* DTS made, at the time, a "piece of hardware" that can convert Cinema DTS -> Home (LD) DTS (read: APT-X100 -> DTS CA) in an easy way... this is just a conjecture, of course...
