They aren't, as their print of Jedi had the best quality of the three movies.

Not to mention there primary focus on releasing Star Wars before anything else.

There are 2 different scans, these are just test renders of the scenes. They will be adjusted accordingly when the time comes.

Here are some shots from different prints:

That first scan looks absolutely great. Second one is not too shabby as well.

If this film somehow pushes its way back up to the top of the queue, I will certainly not complain.

Silly question, but would you have a shot of the Emperor saying "Young fool. Only now, in the end, do you understand"? His face in most versions of the movie has a raw, reddish tinge to it and I'm wondering if it's always been like that or if that started with the DVD release.

Wow, I didn't expect to like the second video more, since from the picture it looked like it would be too washed out, but in the end it seems to retain more background detail and just looks much more natural than the first one (which ironically has too much contrast).  With a little work, the second reel could have a lot to offer.

Also, from watching the first video, I don't know why but I've never noticed so clearly the difference between Shaw's scalp prosthetic and his forehead before (doubtless it would be obvious on the Blu-ray, if they restrained from digitally wiping that away, too, but I don't ever watch that).

I'm looking forward to seeing full workprints or final results from -1, regardless of order; if Jedi is ready before the others that need more work, it wouldn't bother me in the least to have it early.  Keep up the good work.

Yes, both the prints used, have a very bluish/greenish tint to them. We do have one other source with a slightly different orange/red tint to it.

We will be working on getting Harmy some new clips for his version.

Keep an watch for them Harmy.

Clips of the Rancor or just the ending celebration scene and the Lapti Nek dance scene?

So will this just be used for splicing into despecialized editions?

From what I understand, the next ROTJ DeEd's where you'll see these prints used first, but there will be also a full release of Jedi from -1 later*.  The correction/cleanup processes are different, not to mention -1 is working with multiple prints, the entire film rather than brief scenes, sound capture & sync, etc.

* possibly much later

That's cool, as much as I love Harmy's work I would still love to see a cleaned up 35mm scan

Is it possible to post a screencap of what Vader's and Luke's lightsabers look like please? Same with Empire duel please?

It's been so long, I can't remember what they should look like :(

Really great new samples.

Wow, the first Rancor clip was removed due to copyright violation. Assuming it was properly set to private, it seems we have a member/guest who likes to press the report button.
