Well if we're gonna be realists I guess I'll give my 'realist' view on the subject. For the record this is strictly my opinion and is not an attempt to attract haters or to disregard the views of others here (though I've learned the hard way that I'm likely to attract that kind of response no matter what I say here). I seriously am not holding any glimmer of hope of a release of a remastered OOT. I say this for a number of reasons. Well some have mentioned the unlikelihood of a release of the OOT to tie in with the release of TFA since they just released the digital collection. I'm gonna have to agree with that crowd. Also there's the rumors that the OOT can't be released while Lucas is alive and if that's true how much further does this discussion go? Since we were cheated already with GOUT the likelihood seems even more distant. Also if these so called 'rumors' are true that the OOT is being restored why aren't we hearing more about it? The world is already practically finding out what's gonna happen in TFA so why nothing on a restored OOT?? I honestly think if it were to truly happen it either would have happened already, unless the GOUT is truly what some of you wanted with an OOT trilogy release, or we'd at least have a definitive and recent response on the subject from someone over at Lucasfilm. Again that's just my view of it. Perhaps my facts are eskewed and I'm not technically correct in some areas but from what I've gathered from all you and from my experiences as a long time OOT supporter that's how I feel. The only reason the OOT is gonna live on is because we the fans we'll make sure it survives. It may have Lucas' name on it but it is the people's film's now. Anyways that's as 'real' as I can put it guys.
