It's hard to separate climate cycles from "global warming." Obviously there was some global warming at the end of the ice age. Right now the Atlantic is heating up, causing more storms. But it was this warm before, and then cooled down. We haven't been mapping climate long enough to even begin to understand what the earth can withstand and what it does naturally.

That said, there are things humans are doing that are raising the temperature. That combined with with the subtle warming looks awfully dangerous. But be aware that there are scientists on both sides of the debate. I really don't know how worried I should be; I'm not defending or attacking "global warming" theory.

Unfortunately the Pres is a single person. You have to take the good with the bad (although I know many people only see bad right now). I do support Bush, but I oppose his environmental policy. I wish I could take someone else's environmental policy and Bush's position on other policies, but I can't.
