At the risk of being obvious, there's only one Mr. Obvious around here, and it's not my father, nor is it tim.
Of course they have, Mr. Obvious. I'm just saying that that movie seems out of place compared to their later works.

Has this book been mentioned before ? On sale in August.
Star Wars—the original trading card series from Topps first published in 1977 and 1978—is reprinted here in its entirety for the first time, featuring all five sets of collectible cards and stickers. This deluxe compilation includes the fronts and backs of all 330 cards and 55 stickers (originally sold one per pack), including movie facts, story summaries, actor profiles, and puzzle cards featuring all your favorite characters and scenes from the very first Star Wars movie. Also features four bonus trading cards, as well as an introduction and commentary by Gary Gerani, the original editor of the Star Wars Topps series.
Can't wait for that. Ought to look good on the shelf next to my Mars Attacks, Wacky Packages, and Garbage Pail Kids volumes.

I can't believe this is from the same people who worked on Toy Story and other familiy movies :D
Bored animators do things that would clash with the squeaky clean image of their studios all the time.
When the eventual 4K version of Episode One comes out, someone will probably discover two battle droids making out or something far in the background. ;)
Where were you in '77?
But will the new Topps book smell like bubble gum?

Indeed. Just look at the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence in Fantasia; there's brief full-frontal she-demon nudity in there.
Or what they had to cut out of The Rescuers for home video release....
Anyway, Knick Knack was made in that period shortly after Steve Jobs had bought them from Lucasfilm and they were a free agent doing commercials and trying to sell computer hardware. Before Toy Story and the Disney acquisition.
Tit for Tat Too.

I assume you're trying to say something, but I have no idea what it could be.
It was the profanity in the image, not the boobs, and I can't recall what the specific rules were three years ago anyway. They've been modified more than a few times.

Has there been any credible speculation on the third Star Wars Anthology film being about Darth Vader?

There's been next to no credible speculation on the second. There's really been nothing about the third.

Thank you Tobar. You know, I would love to see his ruthless period between Episode III and IV, or his search for Luke Between Episodes IV and V, and again between V and VI. That is, as long as there is no reference at all to his pre-Vader days.

I wouldn't mind seeing that, but I would prefer it in the context of Rebels, rather than as a live-action film.

I tried, I truly tried to get into Rebels, but I just can't. I'm just not into animation. I had to turn it off on the second episode. It's all just much too childish, even for Star Wars.

Seriously missing out.

Try watching the season finale.

I managed to watch the entire season. Quite honestly, I don't see what everyone else here seems to see in it; only the last few minutes of the season finale engaged me and made me hopeful for Season 2, and those hopes were smothered just as soon as I saw Season 2's trailer.
The Rebels thread is that-a-way----------------------->
Actually, I'm glad for an excuse to talk Rebels for a minute without going into that thread. I definitely prefer the OT to the PT. But I have a hard time ever wanting to watch Rebels, though I enjoy TCW. I think I've nailed the reason: TCW is an improvement to the PT aspect of the Star Wars universe, while Rebels is a childish step down from the OT. Even though the shows are very much alike, in comparison to their related films, one series is superior, the other inferior. I have no desire to see Rebels.
You really can't give that judgement without having seen the first season.
