It all depends on...

1. If you would really like to see the OT in a cinema in 3D

2. How does the film translate into 3D as a direct port (pretty well as a whole IMO)

3. What would need to change but not make it a bastardised over the top CGI extravaganza but keep the film pretty much the same.

4. Extra version of the film but for thrills not as a replacement for any other version.

I think 3D is by and large a gimmick and it is something I rarely buy into I have on a few occasions with varying different opinions on the experience... And then I saw "Gravity"

I won't ever forget that experience...
