Those who truly dislike Jar Jar wouldn't want any reference to him in the film. Even if it means showing that he died, it would still pollute the film with his presence and made you think about him. When it comes to PT stuff, the best way is to ignore it.

Exactly.

Addressing it in even the slightest way, no matter the form, keeps it alive.

Reminds me of a 60 Minutes interview with Morgan Freeman several years ago where Mike Wallace asked him about how to get rid of racism.  I've thought about his response a hundreds times over since then and I agree.

"Stop talking about it".

His response makes sense for any manner of things you wish to start healing and moving past.  Racism is a million times more serious, but the principle applies.

Constantly making fun of, hating, and trying to cure the franchise of Binks only serves to keep him alive and relevant.

That character was a symbol of how terrible a writer and film maker Lucas had become by the late 90s. He has absolutely no place what so ever in this new film and restored storyline.

Putting him in this film - even as a reference to how hated he was - puts him in this film. The poor grammar is intentional to make the obvious statement.

I sincerely hope he remains in the past.
