Is there a reason you switch between uploading clips on Vimeo and Dailymotion? The Vimeo player is much better.

EDIT: Ahhhh, Dailymotion has the option for higher res, uncompressed video. Wish the site wasn't so choppy, but I see the difference. GOD this looks fantastic.

Man, you guys messed up bad or something, this doesn't seem like realistic CG from a decade or two ago, it almost looks like a bunch of puppets or something...  You should really look into this matter, I think it is a glaring difference.

That brought a tear to my eye. It's so beautiful!

Looks great!

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

A tad blurrier in general than I'd hoped, but still 100% authentic and that makes it beautiful.  Beautiful and filmic.

That is literally the highest quality version of that scene in over two decades.

Is there a chance to upload this in full quality anywhere? E.g. 1080p / 4K whatever resolution you have? Because every video site converts it even more

Sorry, we are not going to be releasing full versions in HD, until we are done with the scene. This is just a lower resolution work in progress. Also, the 4k versions will be for internal use only.

Looking incredible! Do you plan to release the trilogy all at once, since you're making so much progress with all three?

There is no current plans to release them concurrently. It would be nice to release Return of the Jedi first, because it has the least amount of damage, but logistics will not make it likely.

What you are seeing here, are the clips that Harmy has, and will be getting for his version. We will incorporate our own version later on, and will also be integrating other scans for replacement frames, if needed.

We haven't even started on the cleanup for FUJI Empire Strikes Back, so it's possible that will be last.

Star Wars is our first priority, and always will be. Since we are working on parallel on some of the projects, that is speeding up some of the timetable, but we are still so far away, we can't even predict when they will be done.

Thanks for the info. It's great to see some work has been done, and it's a nice teaser for what's to come. As much as I love Harmy's work on reconstructing the originals, nothing beats the real thing. The bluray looks digitally enhanced, even with all the color corrections. Yours just have that authentic look that no smart algorithm can reproduce. It's simply a wonder to behold...

I'm glad the wardrobe malfunction  original scene is finally being preserved in such high quality.

Yub nub looks great. I think more than ever you can see the emotion on Han's face when Luke returns even though he's out of focus in the background.

I never noticed that dancer feeling up Fortuna's head tails before. =S

We will try to post a clip with Vaders eyebrows in them, when he removes his helmet.

Thufir Hawat in David Lynch's Dune still has the most badass eyebrows in film history.

...but Vader's are cool too

This looks fantastic, great, great work, thanks so much. The changes to ROTJ are the most irritating to me so I am really glad to see this is happening and with such attention to detail.

There are some blown out highlights in Lapti Nek, are those in your scan?

Any plans to release a grindhouse version of this before the final restored version?
