Congrats on making the jump to projecting, Harmy.  Which model projector did you choose and what did you go with on the rest of your setup (receiver, screen, etc.)?

I have a Benq W1070+ DLP. It's decent but I can't wait for 4K projectors to become more affordable - I have a 10ft roll-down Elite Screens screen (135" diameter) and my viewing distance is about two meters (6.5ft) and I feel like the screen could still be bigger (I'm one of those people who prefer to sit in the first few rows in the cinema) but at this size and distance, the pixel grid is pretty noticeable on a 1080p projector (as it is in cinemas that still have 2K projectors).

I bought 5 pairs of 3D glasses with it and the 3D is fantastic - way better than on my 58" 4K Panasonic TV - no ghosting whatsoever and the colors are also really good after some adjustment.

As for sound, I have a Panasonic 5.1 BD Home Theater system - nothing fancy but it has a 3D BD player and the sound is really good (at least to my ears).

I play most movies from my computer hooked to the projector via HDMI for picture and to the Panasonic HT system's audio receiver via toslink. I could also use my BD player but this is actually simpler and produces better quality image, so I usually only use the BD player for stuff that requires menu (like extras) or for 3D BDs.

And I agree that without a new version on the horizon, continually bitching about colors on SW is now bordering on beating a dead horse.  Everyone should focus their opinions on Jedi right now and after that on Empire when V2.5 (with even less GOUT and correct credits) comes into focus.  Never your minds on where we are, what we are doing, you are all reckless.

 Thanks!
