I would rather like to see the first or the "clone war" before Episode 1 to be about Jedi against Sith or better Mandalorians (which could haven been the main threat for the Republic back then)

leaving "Jango" as the last Mandalorian warrior, maybe frozen (in carbonite) or encased in a stasis field, waiting to be revived - to be the prototype for the new republic clone army!

and "Boba" could be the last real "shock trooper", remaining from the (last) Clone War(s) ...
