Oh, look who's returning.
http://screenrant.com/doctor-who-season-9-episode-titles-missy-michelle-gomez-video/
After the series 8 finale, I don't feel the greatest about it. However, having Hettie Macdonald returning as a director (Blink!) for the first two episodes, gives me high hopes.
Hmmm..... who is "The Witch's Familiar," I wonder?
The "Witch" in question is presumably Missy.... but who's the Clara to her Doctor?
I wonder if they're setting up a new companion for when Jenna finally leaves the show. Here's hoping they don't go with somebody else from present-day Earth this time.

OR it could be the witch is the one from the Night Of The Doctor, since it states that the actress is returning as well. Maybe the episode could explain possibly how Missy came about.
Then again, your idea makes more sense in terms of what the title seems to suggest.
Ah yes, the Sisterhood of Karn. Very Rider Haggard.
I really need to watch The Brain of Morbius sometime, if only to see all those deutero-canonical Doctors before Hartnell.

3 decades later, renowned Space-Cop Hugo Lang finally finds his way out of the Tardis...
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.
Well my mind was just blown, can't believe I never spotted that before.
I wasn't aware that Hugo Lang ever got stuck/lost in the Tardis.

It only appeared that Lang remained on Jaconda but he actually had to quickly come back to the Tardis to return that nifty shirt he'd borrowed from the Doctor's wardrobe.

I like that idea.
Some how I like the idea of someone getting lost in the TARDIS for 30 years. if any Doctor would forget about him I think it would be the sixth.

Kamelion is still in there as far as I know.

Well his chard remains any way.
It would really be disturbing to find the mummified body of someone who got lost in the Tardis. Not like they always remember to lock the door. ;)
I'd like to think that somewhere past the control room, a lot of the old corridors and such are still there from the old days though.
Where were you in '77?
In fact, they do, and that's actually been a critical plot point at times. See The Doctor's Wife for an example.

My crappy cable company took BBC America away, (second tier my eye!) so I haven't been able to watch anything as of late.

So, series 2-4 reruns are airing on Disney XD in the US.....why?
I mean, no offense to Disney, but wouldn't Sarah Jane Adventures (Which only aired its first series on Syfy) or K-9 (which only aired as a one day marathon of every episode on Syfy) be better choices for a kids network? I'm not saying that Doctor Who isn't kid-friendly, but..i don't know. It just doesn't seem right for some reason.
Also, the episode selection seems a bit strange. Why skip Nine? Why skip The Christmas Invasion? Why skip the Tenth Doctor Specials?
Feel free to discuss this development. I gotta go to bed.
Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…
I was surprised to find that Hulu has the entirety of Doctor Who available. When I first saw it I thought it was gonna be the weird grab bag that Netflix had but nope there it all was!
Do you mean classic who or nu who? If you mean nuwho then Netflix (as of this writing) is only missing series 8. Classic Who, however, is like you say, a grabbag. However, even Hulu doesn't have every classic who episode, and I'm not even referring to missing episodes here, I am saying that some intact classic serials are not available on hulu.

Yet again, Who ends up on a channel my #@#$% cable company thinks I should be paying extra for.
45 bucks a month, and I have sports channels out the wazoo. I miss the days when PBS ran classic DW every weekend.
Modern DW is "hip" right now, (my local drugstore is carrying the toys) and Disney is no doubt testing the waters to see if it brings in an audience. They might perceive SJA and the K9 series as requiring background knowledge of Whovian lore to jump into.
I noticed BBC America skipped #9 completely with the holiday marathons I was able to see.

Perhaps the BBC is angry with Eccleston for not appearing in the anniversary special?
I too miss the days when classic Who was on PBS.

Pssh, nuwho. Who needs that? =P I'm still making my way through the Fourth Doctor. It looked pretty dang complete when I was scrolling through it all.

SJA should be watchable standalone, with the possible exception of "Death of the Doctor" (considered by some to be hardcore continuity porn, partially because of the appearance of Jo Grant.). As for K9, it shouldn't require knowledge of Whovian lore at all thanks to the whole "We only have the rights to use the K9 character so lets wipe his memory at the very beginning" thing.

So weren't there supposed to be only 9 Doctors or something? Have we passed that number?
K. Let’s have this ride.
I like the old Doctor Tom, but I think he was really not very bright. That said, I suspect the new series must be a lot of fun, but I've never seen a single one. I think I'm afraid they will be too overthought compared to the old simple ones. I think they should have come out with a Doctor When.
