Of the seven TV shows I considered my favourites as a kid/early 20-something, only The Simpsons (the first nine seasons, that is), remains on the list.

Fortunately it usually does with video games, at least NES and forward. Not so sure about atari and prior. I've been playing the original super mario bros games for NES and the donkey kong country games for SNES, and while there is a huge amount of nostalgia for those games even with that aside they are fun as sh*t.

If you want a trip down Mario memory lane, I suggest Super Mario Bros 3Mix. It feels like a well written love letter to so many parts of the Mario franchise...you'd be surprised at what was added ;)

I went to my niece's grade school band concert, and it's actually at the same grade school I attended. The disturbing thing is, all of the songs were exactly the same, and the teacher (who is the same one who taught me) actually told all the same jokes that she did during my band concert back in like 2003 or whenever.

Well I am bummed. The only new show this season that I liked enough to stick with just got canceled.
I swear the TV networks have it out for me. Every show I like gets canceled after twenty episodes but ever show I can't stand goes on for at least eight years.
I feel like network executives are personally out to get me.
