I'm new to the game but would love to help out seeding so an invite would be great.  Of course would also love to check out some of the amazing releases here in the new theater I built in my home, what a perfect place to enjoy some of the preservation efforts here.

If invites for blu-torrents are around, please send, I seed fast on my fiber optic line here.

Awful quiet these days, any news to share on how some of the future projects are coming along?

Got to share the theatrical cut of The Neverending Story with my 6-year-old via that TeamBlu release. Thought it looked very filmlike and nice with no compression issues whatsoever. The DTS 5.1 sounded very nice. Great work once again! My boy said that he wants to see part two and three now ... and I haven't been able to break it to him just yet that they probably suck. :)

I always liked Part II more than Part I as a kid.  Part 3 is an abomination and should be avoided at all costs, but I always liked part 2.  It's available for 7.88 if you have a wal-mart near you.  I picked up Part II when Team Blu put out their release for Part 1 and had planned on a double feature night, but thus far haven't gotten around to watching either yet.

I'd pay money to see Part III done by Rifftrax. ;)

Where were you in '77?

You have 2 posts on this site.  It would help if you were a regular contributing member of the forum before asking for an invite.  I can't speak for anyone else, but the first thing I look at is how long someone has been a member and how many posts they have before deciding whether to respond to a request for something.  People that joined the site just to ask me or someone else to send them something generally get ignored.  I will say that you at least set an avatar for yourself which (in theory) means you plan on establishing an identity here which goes a long way in my book.

My desperate search for a specific movie (Fright Night 2) brought me to one forum, which also led me here. As I'm new obviously my contributions are non existent. I hope to change this soon. Sorry if I came off the wrong way.  Looking at the images I got a little over excited.

I'm a huge movie buff.. especially when 80s movies are concerned. I recently built a HTPC and started copying my entire collection of DVDs and Bluerays (200 to be exact). While doing this I really took notice of SD vs HD. Prior having to get up and change disc I never really noticed a huge difference between up-scaled SD and true 1080. Being able to switch between a click of the button it became more apparent to me. That's what got me interested in replacing my collection from SD to HD. Unfortunately some movies I have I am unable to obtain in HD. That's how I ended up on these forums.

From looking at the hard work done, I admire you guys. It's really amazing to me.  I guess I was desperate to see it in action :) Perhaps when I became more established I can even help test some of these.

Dark Jedi, I have both of your Terminator releases and I'm in the process of downlading The Never Ending Story. I was wondering if you will be adding your Conan releases to blu torrents, I missed them on Myspleen. Apologies if this has been asked before, I've had a look through the thread but I couldn't find out why it was taken off the spleen or if it would be in BT at any point. Thaks for all the work you do.

I know Team Blu already has a full schedule of releases and is no longer taking suggestions, but....  With the recent release of Ghoulies/Ghoulies II on Blu Ray, the edited scenes from Ghoulies II have been included, in HD, in the special features section.  It'd be awesome to have them reinserted back into the film so that we can finally have a high quality R Rated cut of Part 2.  Any takers?

I'd support this release, gladly. So consider me a +1 on that suggestion!

TeamBlu,

I have watched both Terminator releases and let me just say, they look great.  Having them look like film AND have real audio choices was well worth the time and bandwidth to snatch them both.

The extras are a great treat as well.  Nostalgia runs amok on these 2 releases and I say that as a compliment.  Too bad OT.com couldn't have it's OWN film studio where different contributors made up the library of movies done right (we're just not an official studio).

Anyways, I'd like to thank all the members of the team for a job well done and well cared for.  These 2 are top notch in the list you've guys tackled so far.

Cheers!!!!

OK Guys with a bit of bad news, our partnership at BT has come to an end, it has come to my attention that I was being lied to from vinnie, I have zero respect for that kind of shit, especially after all the very nice things I have said about him and the Site, now while I think he is a piece of garbage I truly do like the Site, so from here on out we will no longer be able to share there, and I would appreciate it very much if those of you that can will respect our wishes and NOT upload any future projects there, I was also banned from the Site by the aformentioned piece of you know what lol.

So, I am back to square one on what to do with sharing, the only release that is ready now is Jason Goes to Hell Unrated, so I may sit on this for a while until we figure this out, if any of you have any suggestions please by all means fire away.

I will post more info when I have it, Thanks Guys!

I'm sure there is another torrent site that would host your projects.

 Hey Dark,

I have a host you may be able to use.. I'll have to double check as I'm not the only owner. It wouldn't be torrent however.. Not sure how "safe" this would be for us hosting.. If not I'll check around.

Well shit... that really sucks, JGTH has been the release I've been most looking forward to as well for the past few years.  BT seemed like such a good match for TeamBlu as well, it's disappointing to say the least that that partnership is no more.  I've picked up every Team Blu release thus far and was looking forward to this years release slate as you teased some fantastic titles over the last few months. For what it's worth, you don't appear to be banned from what I can see, just demoted (but your reputation is still listed as outstanding).  Hopefully something can be worked out sooner rather than later.  Would a seedbox work on it's own?  If interested parties all "donated" a few dollars here and there to keep one up and running Team Blu releases could be "Stored" there with access given via e-mail or PM to "donors".  Just a thought.

Somehow, this BT news doesn't surprise me.  :-/  The idea of self-hosting is interesting, though I would imagine it would be too much trouble for Team Blu to manage "memberships".  I hope something gets worked out sooner than later, because BT was such a great way to share Team Blu's work.

You can setup a "members" section using Wordpress as a front end pretty simple. The problem would be the actual download links.. Would they be direct links? If so, what prevents members sharing these "download links" with non members. There may be a free addon that adds a solution to this.

Right now, with my current host we pay about $80/year for unlimited space and bandwidth for our domain. Isn't too expensive for your own web site.  Includes WordPress capability. I'd be willing to help if this is something considered, assuming help was needed.

I do like the other idea of donations for a torrent. You'd definitely have mine.

Not a bad idea, but that could be interpreted by certain authorities as Team Blu selling access to the content. (Even though the cash would only be used for web hosting, they would still see Team Blu collecting money in exchange for download links, and that could spell trouble.)

In my humble opinion, bittorrent is the ultimate way to distribute the content. Public trackers are a problem due to people getting DMCA notices from their ISPs, so a good private bittorrent tracker is ideal. It really is a shame that things didn't work out at Blu-Torrents, because that was a great tracker for Team-Blu's work while it lasted. Surely there must be another private tracker that would accept Team Blu's work, and also would not be too difficult for the readers of this forum to get invites to...

This is true, if the team was to charge for member access. Could offer invites for free, or take donations outside of the site like on here for example. Just another idea, but I agree a torrent may be easier option.

Hi DJ,

This is very sad news that Team Blu and the BT tracker didn't work out.

Hopefully Team Blu find another tracker to use for share their releases on.

By the way, if you cannot find a suitable tracker, just like the BT tracker for your releases then perhaps you could purchase a fast enough server with enough server space for your needs to use as a ftp server for sharing your releases to those who donate to help to keep the server running and people you trust.

You could set up individual accounts that are binned to the user's IP to prevent people sharing / leaking their account login details out.

You set up a donation system here on the forum to pay for the running costs of the server.

I think you would be able to keep a server running quite easily as there are more than enough users here and that like your work that would be willing to donate so you would have no issues getting the funds up to the pay the server cost whenever the payment is due.

Yes it is unfortunate that BT did not work out, there is no denying it was great while it lasted and it was very fortunate to get the privileges we got, but for a few weeks prior to the announcement I made about it not working anymore I already knew things were off, way off, from talking to others there through PM's and such and just plain old figuring it out, lying just does not work for me and it was time to stop, so all that said thanks guys for your ideas.

I have to say though that the server idea will not work for me, I have no idea how to set one up or run one, and as far as donations are concerned, we do not have that big of a following at all, there were very, very few of you that helped us in getting that back up drive to save/store all our work quite a few weeks back, I just hope none of us ever need any actual PC hardware or something or have a serious failure of some kind, so as you can see this will not work, so as of right now I have NO idea what to do, as said a few posts back the only BD ready now is Jason Goes to Hell Unrated and we now have our 3 main video's done for Night of The Living Dead 1968 Ultimate Edition and will be starting on the extras soon.

Sorry, I wish I had better news but as of right now I do not.

Take Care
