General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread — Page 182

Well considering AMC always has a marathon for every movie franchise, this should be more of an assumption than a rumor. Chances are it will happen. Whether or not that guy's source is accurate doesn't really matter.

What does matter is whether or not it will be the theatrical versions. And of course it won't be. So I won't go (well, probably).

I wouldn't be making a statement by not going, but I need to decide whether I would want to go. I'd probably prefer to save the $75 it's sure to cost for additional viewings of Ep7.

My stance on revising fan edits.

$75 dollars?!?! Man, I've done their marathons before the most I ever remember paying was like $30-40.

Interesting if it's true, but I can't even find the Marvel marathon within reasonable distance near me.

^I found that a couple days ago, but I forget to post a link here. Of all those photos, I like this one in particular:

That photo of Hamill would have caused fans to freak out had it leaked back in the day! There was enough wild speculation generated when he was first seen in his black outfit on location in Yuma.

Really tempted to make an MST3K joke here...

I know NASA has it's budget issues, but is it that hard for them to get a widescreen copy of Episode III?

Quick, someone grab the pan and scan episode 3 dvd, recolor it so it matches this picture, place the video where it exists in the picture and have the episode 3 rifftrax playing.

Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…

That photo above is why I Hamill is a great guy. I'd also be sitting in that chair and arching my fingers in an super evil way, the 1st second I got near it LOL

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Harmy, your image is coming up broken, although you can see it if you click on it.

I had to zoom out to see the Star Wars reference (unintentional or otherwise).

It looks like Boba Fett's helmet.

ROTS isn't worthy of a widescreen screening (or even a fullscreen one, for that matter).

While looking for screen grabs of The Falcon for the mandibles discussion, I came across this site (below).  The grabs are all from the SE Blu-Rays.

I left a very polite comment suggesting that they make a note that the 1977 date is a bit misleading. Those are highly altered versions released twenty years after the 1977 original.  They aren't historically accurate. I was polite, for sure. Just a point to make and a suggestion.

My comment didn't even last two hours.  Truly sad that there are people completely ok with carrying on with Lucas' lies and deception.

Some people sadly do not care.

Anyway, here's Salacious Crumb hanging out with the Grady Twins from The Shining, for no adequately explored reason.

Oh cool.   I wasn't feeling old enough today.

;-)

Bit of a Susan Sarandon vibe there.

I desperately want to see the above made into a horror film.
