If someone could be so kind as to send me an invite to blu-torrents? Thanks!

Kinda off topic here aren't you?

No, it's cool. I want to find out where Blu-Torrents (r) are too!

(hint - check the first post for info about locations...)

Pretty off topic considering that Harmy's work isn't on b-t.

Can someone post the checksum of SW 2.5 AVCHD ISO? On ESB 2.0 the checksum was listed in the readme file, but it's not on SW 2.5. Normally I wouldn't bother with the AVCHD, but I want to show it to a friend of mine and he doesn't have a way to play the MKV on his TV. There are two download sources on Paradox for SW 2.5 AVCHD, and both have different checksums...

Post 12854

Thanks! Both copies on Paradox have different checksums, so I wouldn't recommend anyone download using those links.

ROTJ is now in the bag!! :) Doing well on downloading the others too.

However I now have more problems :) ANH is 19.7GB and ESB is 17.8GB. After a bit of research I believe I need a Dual Layer Double Sided DVD...but after even more research I believe these arent publicly available??!?!!

Basically I want my set to be all singing all dancing in nice Blu-Ray boxes (even though they're not HD) as I saw someone do that on a Google image. Really give the set the respect it deserves.

But how do I go about putting them onto DVD's? Is a way around it to buy some blank Blu-Rays and put each film on there?

EDIT: Damn, didnt realise these were HD! Done a bit more digging and they are!!! So basically I just get a Blu-Ray drive now and burn it accordingly????????????????????????????????

Yep, you've got it now. I also grabbed a BD-R drive specifically for fanedit purposes. This one has worked very well for me, if you're looking for an external drive. Should be noted that for Harmy's, you'll need to use tsmuxer to get it in the right format, at least until they release the iso with menus, etc.

cheers Towne32! I think I'm going to use the excuse of buying a Blu-Ray Writer to back up a load of things on the PC. Was going to get an external HD but the beauty of using Blu-Ray's is that I can keep multiple copies of the same files.

I'll google TSMuxer and go from there :) I sense my education is not over yet!

If you want to go the HDD/storage route, another option would be to just use an mkv/iso-supporting media player like kdlinks that you can either stream to via network or just plug the USB hdd into directly.

The first source listed at tehP still matches Post_12854; I checked it just minutes ago.
(Didn't check the second source)

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Or just plug your computer into your TV with an HDMI cable.

Or buy a Raspberry Pi 2 for $35 and install kodi/xbmc.

That's odd. I'm getting checksum of E444631E from Uloz and FE0D99D6 from Mega.

I'm playing version 2.5 for the first time using Cyberlink PowerDVD 14.

Fantastic all the way around...and I'm able to play every single audio track, including the commentaries except one: the "English 1.0 DTS-HD-MA 1977 35mm mono mix". When I select it the audio goes silent.

May not seems like a big deal but the theater I saw SW in as a kid ( 10 times) played the mono track and that's the one I want to hear. Anyone else experience issues with the mono track?

I haven't tried all the audio tracks yet, but I know some software can have trouble with DTS-MA mono tracks (or DTS-MA tracks at all!). Try some other software and see if it plays VLC and Mplayer or one of it's derivatives come to mind.

Use VLC over PowerDVD for anything, unless you want to watch a Bluray and care about seeing the menu. The mono audio should certainly work with VLC.

Jeez - I was being sarcastic, I had no idea they were a real thing. That is way off topic! Sorry for feeding the noob... (and not even doing a good job, at that!)

Works fine on kodi (what used to be xbmc) playing via hdmi into an LG TV.

As has been suggested, try some other playback software.

There are other members on another part of the forum who are uploading different preservations to that site. And handing out invites. But not Harmy.

Thanks, I suspected it was the software, I wanted to make sure others could play it back properly.

Okay, finished my Despecialized edition box set. As I was designing it I kept thinking of more and more cool stuff to throw in. What started as a simple slipcase became a double slip case.In the end, I actually had to take stuff out.

Every card was hand cut. Each envelope was made as a one-off and handcut. Through trial and error on the slip cases, I must have eaten through two inkjet refills and printed the cases 8 or 9 times, not to mention the bluray sleeves.

Anyway, enjoy the pics.

thanks!

Those are insanely cool. My only gripe is the "W" on the outer sleeve, but I'm sure you have a reason for having it the way it looks.

I opted for that particular "W" because it was the original version before Joe Johnson revised it to work with the opening crawl. Essentially I tried to grab elements from throughout the early marketing campaigns to give the box set an old school feel, right down to the old Fox logo.

Is that custom cover art DVD or Blu Ray-sized, and if it's the latter where could I download it?
