This is exactly the kind of thing that most interests me. For the unwashed on the board - twenty-somethings who haven't experienced the passage of time - things can change drastically in even a ten year span.
At twenty, things you thought were cast in stone can be completely altered or gone in only a decade. Thirty years and things can become all but unrecognizable. You'll understand it when you've experienced it.
If she really is piloting the Falcon, I will be very interested in hearing how she came by it, how long ago, is she even aware of its history, and how all our heroes end up in each others' world again.
You may not realize it yet, but the world changes radically during the journey. I couldn't tell you thing one about the people I saw Star Wars with in 1977. Our heroes have been living that same timeline.
This has the potential for some very cerebral moments.
