I've had the AVCHD versions of the Despecialized editions burned onto DVD9s for awhile now, and I was thinking about upgrading to the MKV files burned onto Blu-ray discs. Question: How much better do they look compared to my current copies?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I have seeded to 20x so far and am still going. That kickass page is reporting 50 seeders and 69 Leechers.

Well then I am confused, because posting the torrent hash to google (which in turn leads to several torrent sites) didn't draw criticism so I thought a direct link wouldn't either.
If Harmy is so sure of the legality of these Fan Edits, why make it so difficult to get them?

Well, they're absolutely, 100% illegal - it's just that a lot of us either don't give, or consider there to be a pressing reason that we think is more important than silly things like copyright laws. :P

Anyway, with the torrent hash it is easy enough to find without waiting forever and a day for myspleen to respond. I will continue to seed until I find something better to use my upload bandwidth for!

Yep. So in a sense, he's "sure of the legality".
No use risking getting this, or any other, site shut down just for the sake of enabling people who can't google things themselves.
I'd like to request an interview with Harmy for the upcoming episode of The Projection Booth podcast -- www.projection-booth.com -- about Star Wars. We're looking at Star Wars as a "lost" film since versions like the Despecialized version are true to the original version which has been swept clean by the sands of time.

I know many people have said this before, but I wish to express the deepest gratitude for the great work Harmy has done on this "Restoration" if you will of the original Star Wars. I hope we will one day be blessed with similar HD releases as the Despecialized edition 2.5 for Empire and Jedi. You really made it possible for fans to enjoy the original Star Wars for years to come. I'm putting a copy on an M-Disc, because the despecialized edition of this masterpiece needs and deserves to be preserved. Thanks, Harmy. YOU DA MAN!!
