To be honest, if I was sent to hell and had to choose between watching the Ewok Adventures and Phantom Menace for all eternity, I'd probably pick the Ewok Adventures ... but I'd still be trapped in hell.

Well, I'd probably go with TPM just so I could see Darth Maul.

...and imagine him double-sabering all those Ewoks into bite-sized morsels to be BBQ'd over an open pit. But that's just me.

I think a Star Wars TV show could be awesome, as long as there was a restraining order filed against George Lucas to keep him from fucking it up even more.

I think, as far as the writing, they need people with the right experience...
Kevin Anderson, Michael Stackpole, A.C. Crispin, Brian Daley, Timothy Zahn, etc.

These people already know the universe.

Also, I think Spielberg would be a fine person to work on it. Its not like he's never done TV before.

Yeah, but I think the priority job for Lucas/Spielberg would be to finally agree on a script for Indy 4.

Absolutely.

Perhaps Spielberg could come in later in the series (if it lasts) to be a part of it, after Indy 4 is finished.

Unfortunately Brian Daley is dead, otherwise he'd be a great choice.

I can't believe there are some people here who LIKE Buffy (TV) and DIDN'T LIKE Eps 1 and 2. They're both equally sad examples of poor writing in terms of plotline and character development.

Kevin Smith is an obnoxious arrogant twerp who has yet to make watchable film that isn't an exercise in either pretentious "artism" or repulsive "fartism" (represented e.g. by "Jay & Silent Bob...", one of the worst infantile non-comedies ever shot). If people like him took over Star Wars, may God help it. You might as well give Star Wars to Harry Knowles and Drew McWeeny. Or, hell, straight to Supershadow.

KEVIN SMITH ACTUALLY KNOWS HIS STAR WARS $#!+. HIS WRITING ON VARIOUS COMIC BOOKS HAS BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF GRAND. I THINK THAT HE COULD DO A GREAT JOB.

Didn't Bantam ask him to stop writing so many crappy short stories back in the day?

Buffy was one of the finest TV shows ever created. Period. It had great writing, comedy, storylines and the character development was pretty damn good. Look at Willow for example. She completely changed characters from when she started out to when the show finished. My guess is you never got Buffy and didn't give it much of a chance. It was a great show and Joss Whedon is my 1st pick to direct the new TV show if it is in fact live action.

Did anyone see the new news about the TV show being possibly CGI and also between Ep III and IV? I don't know how accurate this info is, but it is interesting. If they could get Joss Whedon to direct the TV show, I really hope it's live action and not CGI, but if he wasn't directing it I think CGI is the way to go.
