Sure it is going to be available in 2D, if you don't mind travelling half an hour outside the city centre a week after the premiere to sit in a small shoe-box paying a premium to get a theatre experience that is no better than what you could get with BluRay at home once the disc has been released.

Seeing the movie on opening night with fellow Star Wars fans is important. There is the line, and the pre-party, and the activities before the theatre doors opens at midnight.
