Star Wars Comic Discussion

Since there was really no place to talk solely about comics, I decided to make my own thread.

First of all, which story arc or series is your favorite?

I assume we're talking about 'Star Wars' comics here, coz if not then I'm gonna say The Walking Dead is my favourite sereis at the moment.

But if we're talking Star Wars then I liked Star Wars Tales quarterly until the revamp, it sucks now, but it was awesome before.

I'd like to see more of the Infinities line focusing on Infinities versions of The Prequels, you know like "What If... The Prequels were good films?".

I also want to see more Manga adaptations of the films. They released the OT and TPM but so far no sign of AOTC or any indication of ROTS, I guess the Nihon artists give about as much of a crap as I do these days.

Dark Empire I was good and the Zahn books made great comics, as did Splinter Of The Mind's Eye.

So far Underworld : The Yavin Vassilika has been my absolute favourite series for art and story. Carlos Meglia rules.

All of the early Tales Of The Jedi were cool I just wish they'd make a comic series out of that videogame Knights Of The Old Republic, I'd buy that in a second.

Empire #14 The Savage Heart was amazingly cool. If they ever decide to more Vader stories I hope they're like this one.

The Darklighter storyline from Empire #8-9, 12 and 15 was good as was To the Last Man from Empire #16-18.

I really liked the character of the 'Rockabilly Spaceman' BoSheck in Empire #23 : The Bravery of Being Out of Range. I'd like to see more of him.

And I'm looking forward to Empire #27 because as I said my friend Nic drew it.
"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Goering.

The only comics I've really read and enjoyed were the film adaptations and Shadows Of The Empire. Although, TPM was a rather poor comic, and even AOTC though it had some of the best art of all of them, was just lacking so much.

I agree, the TPM comic just wasn't very good.

My favorites would also include the To the Last Man, Darklighter (loved the art style and detail), and the Pre-KJA Tales of the Jedi. For story and personality, it'd probably be Michael Stackpole's Rogue Squadron comics. But to tell you the truth, I didn't like Dark Empire all that much.
