Looks like I'm VERY late to the party. This is/was a very interesting thread, one of my favorites here at OT.com. I only wish I knew about it sooner. I've wished for years now that some ambitious filmmaker, with the muscle and resources behind him, would redo the prequels and give us all something we could be proud and excited for. Instead of the dreadful disappointment it looks like we're forever doomed to live with. :(

I've recently thought perhaps animating the prequels if dedicated live action features aren't plausible. There's some amazing work on youtube I thought would be great if expanded upon.

I like most here have written down pages of notes on what I believe would've made the PT much better. Perhaps I'll share my ideas later. If it's still even relevant to do so anymore.
