Believe it or not despite that fact that I jumped on both HDDvD and Bluray early I still have a VCR hooked up to my HDTV and I still have my Star Wars VHS tapes from when i was a kid.

Despite my tender age, I "grew up" with VHS, and we still have a handful back in Alberta, (and the equipment to play them).

I still have VHS. I don't use it much but I hung on to my old tapes from when I was a kid.

Some shows were never reissued for dvd and blu ray.

Some Anime titles got new English dubs and left the old dub to rot on laserdisc or vhs.

I still have from star wars to jedi and the making of Raiders with the stunts documentary on the same tape. Neither on dvd or blu ray.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

 Both are preserved on DVD.

I have a VHS-DVD player combo sitting in my closet. I rarely watch cassettes anymore, though, so it isn't going to be used often, and once I finish replacing the movies I still have on VHS with DVDs/Blu-rays, that'll be all she wrote.

I have a bunch of VCRs. It a sickness really...but I have it under control.

I got 4 normal VCRs.

A couple of S-VHS decks.

A couple of Dual-Decks

And 4 VHS/DVD combo machines.

At least I have plenty of tapes to play in them. :)

I have one VCR, and a ton of VHS tapes. Mostly Disney movies, which have had changes to varying degrees. I've got more tapes than Blu-rays.

I have a VHS/DVD combination player for years now. It's a real big player that takes up a lot of space. I haven't been using the VHS component for many years because my VHS tapes plays really crappy. But I still use the player because the DVD component still works perfectly.

I have my parents wedding tape, along with several other home movies. I think the wedding of some of my cousins was one of the last things that my family used 8mm film for before transitioning to vhs and video8/hi8 (I can't tell which of those two 8mm formats were used).

Semi-on-topic mini-story that popped into my head.

I videotaped my sister's wedding (14 years ago) and it was cool and fun and whatnot. When she threw the bouquet, one of her bridesmaids popped out of her dress, and I captured it. Good times. I wonder if I still have that video.

I have a really nice Panasonic AG-1980 for digitizing old tapes.  I also have a rather cheap Sanyo that still works great, for those rare but occasional times I want to quickly watch a tape that I don't care whether it gets damaged.  So clearly my answer is "yes".

I too, have one of these.  It's hooked up to my Panasonic DVD Recorder.  Gotta love VHS ..... old school or not.

I have a nice Super VHS set which was a lucky find a couple of years back, those are pretty rare. Backup is a pretty good Sony VHS from the 00s.
