I'm stuck at 99.9%...it's downloaded and redownloaded the same piece for almost 24 hours now. <_> I got this torrent from ISOHunt, followed it to ZeroTracker and then followed it here. Help? I just wanna watch part of my childhood again... ^_^;

Also, what's up with the preservation project? Did that die?

Does any still have the LD version of Twice and would be willing to transfer it to DVD?
I am definitely interested in doing a restoration/hybrid edit of the HBO version.

Hey I was just viewing these forums and found this particular thread
I realize that so many people extremely want a Twice Upon A Time laserdisc transfer with uncut audio

Well, I happened to find a laserdisc version of this movie with the extended scenes, and I also had a dvd (bad quality/worse-than-vhs quality) of the uncut. So i decided to work with what I had, and I ended up putting the uncut audio onto the laserdisc video version, so now I have a DVD/Laserdisc quality version of the uncut. I burned what I made onto a dvd and make cover art for it.
Here is a sample of the quality

I can sell it to anyone interested
I dont really want to release it on a torrent because I seem to be the only person who owns the dvd quality version on dvd

1. Still images tell us nothing about the quality of the final

2. You're not the only person to have the uncut version of Twice ripped on DVD.

3. I am NOT going to pay money for a Preservation - selling film preservations is not allowed here... period.

You know the funny thing?

The edited version is actually funnier.

I downloaded the original version DVD (ugh the quality) and compared it to my edited VHS. The ad-libbed material simply isn't as funny, in my opinion.

Especially the opening speech delivered to Rudy and the Minions. It's not even close.

Would you like me to upload a video of the opening part where Botch is speaking to his minions? I can prove the quality is dvd/laserdisc

Trust the members here when they say that they WON'T PAY for a preservation, no matter the quality! Fanedits and preservation projects walk a fine line between illegal and legal since they involve using copyrighted materials. What keeps that fine line in place for fanedits is mainly that you OWN the original in some format. The other way for fanedits and the ONLY way for preservations to remain barely legal is simply that it's done NON-PROFIT....which means NO ONE BUYS a preservation project OR fanedit. That means a person who made it AND/OR who is selling it has profited on copyrighted material and has crossed that fine line into ILLEGAL territory.

Who's to say Lucas or any of his employees doesn't still surf through the pages here? This site as well as fanedit.org certainly has gained his attention before.

If you're willing to share your project, then do so WITHOUT selling it and you'll find a community with open arms.

I've got a DVD of a laserdisc rip of this and a DVD of the uncut version. Anyone want those two discs to create a good quality uncut version? We can make the same product this joker did and throw it at folks free of charge.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I already have that DVD of the uncut version, but I'd love your copy of the Laserdisc rip to try and make a good copy of the uncut Twice

I'm coming to this thread late, but I have to clarify a point: The 'family-friendly' version of TWICE is not a censored version but in fact the director's cut. The producers created the 'adult' version without John Korty's knowledge or permission; it was retracted after its one airing on HBO due to his taking legal action.

I humbly suggest that neither version be characterized as 'censored' or 'uncensored', since those terms do not accurately portray the situation. Technically, the HBO version is the one that is 'cut'. (I would still very much like to see it...)

I have the HBO version on DVD (I downloaded and burned it myself), but that DVD is two hundred something miles away, and I have no vehicle (otherwise I would seed for you guys). Beyond that, I would like to see the Korty cut if it's available. I'll look around, I suppose.

Bumping this up back from the dead to mention someone has put a "restored" cut on Youtube.

Sorry to resurrect a 2 1/2 year old thread, but was a "Recobbled"-style cut of this ever completed? Something that inserts the HBO footage into the laserdisc? I'd be very interested in this!

Can anyone out there reseed the old 2.63 gb ISO http://zerotracker.com torrent?  Curious to see how it compares to the myspleen DVD-R copy which had high contrast with blown-out highlights and very strong DNR.  There's a few others on there stuck at 92.2%.

EDIT: Got it!  Thank you Rev.

Sweet Zombie Jeebus! Moderator approved!

Maybe the release of Lucasfilm's Strange Magic woke somebody up?

Who must we sacrifice to ensure there is a Blu Ray? ;)

Holy crap!  I can't believe it.  Both versions, too.

I wonder if it'll also hit Netflix later?

Holy sh*t, that's awesome news :D A slight pity that's only seems to be coming to DVD and not a Blu-Ray release, but at this point, I'll take anything for an official release of the movie.
