i dont know if you have that TV gameshow called "The Weakest Link" in the USA, but i laughed my arse of when one day in the british version the question was:

"5,000 years ago, Memphis was the capitol of what country?"

there was a pause of about 1-2 seconds and the guy answered:

"TENESSEE!" (spelling?)

Memphis isn't even the capital of TN, let alone the 5000 year old Memphis.
