That copy is very poor and compressed and is what was used for the Frankencut on Usenet-4-all. What hasn't appeared is a full HD copy.

Very interesting! Keep us informed as to how we can get this.

Just hope it isn't a dupe of the Frankencut I mentioned above which also had custom German audio synced to it. The extended scenes are sd and the ending is   poor hd off the internet with blurred logos.

I don't think that information is correct - the only German channel that already showed "Evil Dead" is Sky Cinema and they were forced to show a cut-version, because of the German law.

 Like I said above, I,ve got a feeling it's just the Frankencut which you can get for free.

OK, it's on film four right now and checking against movie censorship, it is the cut version :(

looks like somebody has taken a 1080p blu ray rip and blended the new scenes back in [they are not great quality] but may be the best version out as nobody seems to have a hd rip

managed to get hold of a bootleg blu ray from germany in 1080 hd with the extended scenes cut back in but in sd.looks pretty good.the best out until an official release [i doubt that will ever happen now]

It boggles my mind that a Standard Def copy has been floating around for months but apparently no one anywhere grabbed it in HD. Such a shame too. The additions are by no means essential, but they are nice to have and should have been included on the official release or at the very least included on a special edition Blu Ray. Perhaps one day…

it was shown again on film 4 on saturday 13 feb 2016 the the same extended version. so much for ch4 having to return it after showing it by ‘accident’!!

yep found it at last a good HD 1080 print of the extended version.lovely!!

I guess I will get scolded, but what is “the Spleen”? Except for a body part that is…

“[The ‘Evil Dead’] extended cut will come out on blu-ray. Just a few hours ago we talked about the study and it seems that Halloween will be available,” Alvarez tells the site. An extended version aired in the UK back in early 2015 but was a mistake as the distributor apparently sent the wrong master for broadcasting purposes.

This is exciting news as fans have been wanting an extended version ever since the film came out and it looks like now it’s going to happen! We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears open for an official announcement with a release date.

I’m guessing here but since this UK version is now out in the wild, he was probably money motivated to change his original decision, seeing how popular it really is.

Went back and forth last night between the Sony native 4k and the unrated, and my god the pq on the unrated killed me with it being so dark.
I have the uncut on my sky Q box and both rips but the BD will be great as it will be a proper encode, but I bet region locked
