Probably worse quality than the retail BD, highly compressed.  Not sure i have never used VUDU.

I mean you take the same master and compress it further how is it going to look better?

Why would you compress it further?  BD is 1080p.  Digital HD simply means 1080p (or 720p) sent digitally (no media).  There's no need to recompress.

Because no streaming file even in 2015 is going to be 50 gigs of data. As far as i know, maybe i have old information.

I guess it depends on how they do it then.  I have a hard time believing that a 1080p movie is 50 gig in size even if it is on a 50 gig disc (which could easily have been done due to simple laziness).  If they take it from the master instead of the BD, it can be done quite well.

I don't really have a problem with streaming 50 gigs of data though.  I have a 20 meg connection at home and my phone essentially has unlimited data (I don't get charged for going over my cap).  I don't expect to be able to stream the entire movie in just a few minutes, but I can stream it fast enough on a 20 meg connection to have no dropouts while watching and it'll continue to stream while paused (until the buffer fills anyway).
