Oh I got my Bluray drive working by figuring out how to get into the bios for my mainboard. Somehow one of the settings had been changed and that seems to be what was doing it. The drive has been working perfectly for two days now, so I think I am out of the woods now. I don't know how the settings got changed in the first place but at this point I don't care as long as it keeps working.

Oh and I got a new keyboard I like, it's not as good as my last one but it was only ten bucks and it works well and feels okay. it is also one of those ones where the keys seem to come out of a solid piece of plastic, so it is much easier to clean then any other keyboard I have had up to this point.
