I MUST OWN THIS AT SOME POINT!
Also is it just me or with a few rewrites and name changes could this story have worked as the story for the prequels.
I am not kidding.
It feels like a lower tech yet somehow a little grander and more conflict version of the Star Wars universe we know, I understand why the characters are fighting and what they are fighting about, and it makes the fall of the Jedi look like something that happened slowly over time instead of over night, and I understand why the people of the galaxy went along with it and trusted the emperor.
Also I could totally buy Anikan letting the hatred and grief fester within him as the story plays out if one of the first things that happened when we met him was that his little brother was brutally murdered in a completely senseless fashion. Honestly, I mean the Sith didn't need to kill the kid and that battle didn't need to happen. If there had not been a war then his little brother would still be alive. I could see Anikin slowly getting more and more bitter as the war dragged on year after year and as he saw more senseless killing(and maybe a scene where a Jedi lost his cool in the heat of battle and killed some people senselessly)he would slowly decide that what the galaxy needed was order more then freedom to stop the bloodshed and thus he falls to the dark side.
Heck the scene of him killing children would then feel like it belonged in the first movie. He got involved because a child was murdered in the first movie and then in the third movie after he gets in the Darth Vader suit the first thing he does he murder a bunch of children who are holding up in the Jedi temple. His tragedy would be complete as he became the very think he hated and it would explain why he thinks he can't be saved in Return of the Jedi. After that the good Luke feels in him tells him what a monster he is so he gives up on trying to fight the darkness in his own soul.
You know what that is it!
In my head cannon that is what happened in the prequels.
The comic was all right, but it didn't follow the original script closely enough for my money.
(i.e., why was Annikin's hair blond instead of dark, and where was the nudity?!)
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

Honestly I never knew MS was supposed to be good looking. To me she was just that kid from that Disney show who then went nuts, I just assumed everyone else saw her that way as well.
NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You mean MC. MS is a disease.
*awaits obvious response*
Around here MS has always been a cigarette brand.
Then it's still a disease.
Miley Cyrus was legitimately attractive for a couple years, after being on Disney but before she became a human wasteland.

So, I received an old laptop for my birthday. And by old I mean old. It has a Pentium II processor and 64 mb of RAM.
I had forgotten how slow these hard drives were.
I ran Norton Disk Doctor on it. The surface test, on a 9 gig hard disk, lasted 11 hours.
Let's at least hope it corrected all the errors, since the thing had three rows of B's (Bad clusters).
May I ask why you received such an old laptop for a gift?
Well you see, my friend's dad had it in the garage for ages, where it was sitting unused. Since the other option was throwing it away, he gave it to me, because there's still a couple of things this old computer can still do: one is being a word processor, the other is dos gaming. Since I'm a retrogamer, what better present than a machine that'll run Doom without any major problems?
On the other hand, Norton Disk Doctor seems to have fucked everything up, and now I have an empty HDD. Which is not a big deal, the only thing on it was a win98 installation. I'll just have to look for drivers now.
I'm currently trying to install win95.
This show, like The Simpsons, should have ended several years ago.
That show is still on? it started when I was a kid.
I don't want to see the Simpsons end. it has reached a point where it may not be as good as it was but it has become a show that I can always count on to make me laugh and it has become such a part of the culture that I will be sad to see it go when it does end.

All I know is she try to twerk and she ain't got dat ass.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Pamela Anderson looked so much better before the fake tits, the fake lips, and the fake hair colour.
Good night, she looks like a member of the human race!
Most people look before they have a bunch of plastic added to their bodies or they colour their hair or put a wig on IMO.
As someone who has had run ins with people who think I have a super power because of the way the media portrays people with autism and has a hard time communicating with people I have to say I really like this article.

Are you autistic? Perhaps you've shared that before, but somehow I missed that detail. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah that is what I need to take meds for and why I can't drive a car.
It's also why I have trouble making myself understood and get really upset some times.
This article really does a good job of outlining what it is like.
As someone who has been told a few times I am "lucky" to be autistic because it makes me really smart and keeps my feelings from getting hurt, I like this article.
I appreciate your sharing that with us, DrCrow. Be patient with your struggles, be patient with us as we try to understand what you are going through. Just by virtue of the way your mind works versus mine, there are bound to be misunderstandings both ways. But that does not mean we cannot be friends. :)

My daughter is an aspie. She's only seven, so we (and she) haven't had to deal with issues that you have to deal with, but they're coming....
What do the meds do for you? And what challenges do you have in driving? Is it sensory, or something else?
